The Venturi scrubber is highly effective at removing particles larger than 1 micron.Gas and water flow vertically downward through the venturi, water is distributed via nozzles above the venturi throat. The dust-laden gas and scrubbing liquid accelerate together in the pipe throat, creating high-speed turbulence that promotes intense collision between particles and droplets.Droplets capture particles via inertia and coalesce into larger droplets as they move with the gas stream.Large droplets settle by gravity into the bottom collection tank, finer droplets are further captured by the end demister.
By adjusting pipe size, liquid properties, and operating parameters, the venturi scrubber adapts flexibly to various pollution control needs, making it a core pre-treatment device.
Client Need: Three-stage treatment equipment (Venturi + Scrubber) for efficient treatment of dust and nitrogen oxides in acidic dust-laden process exhaust, considering site layout. Exhaust medium reference: HCl, HF, H2SO4, NOx, Dust.
Solution: Three-stage Venturi + Scrubber system, single unit air volume approx. 50,000 m³/h. The venturi removes dust, the second scrubber treats acidic exhaust, and the third scrubber uses special chemicals for NOx. Stages 1 & 2 share a tank and spray system to save space and water consumption. The adjustable pipe size adapts to varying exhaust gas flow rates from commissioning to full production.
